We are delighted to announce the Summer 2022 SSD Bursary for Learning Assistance Program (LAP) services.
The UVSS Society for Students with a Disability (SSD) has generously established a $3000 bursary fund for the Summer 2022 semester. This bursary helps UVic students who self-identify as having one or more disabilities access LAP Tutor, Learning Strategist, and Note Taking services. Note that this bursary is for students who do not qualify for funding through the Canada Student Grant program in the semester of application.
To be eligible for the SSD Bursary, you must:
- Be a UVic student who identifies as having a disability
- Be registered in credit-bearing UVic courses
- Not qualify for Canada Student Grant for Services and Equipment for Students with Permanent Disabilities in the semester you are applying for (May – August 2022), herein called the “semester of application”.
- Use SSD Bursary funding for LAP Programs (Tutor/Learning Strategist and/or Note Taker) in the semester of application (Summer 2022 semester)

Unfortunately, applications received after Mon Sept. 5th, or with incomplete information will not be accepted. You will be alerted if you are an SSD Bursary recipient.
