I have been suffering from PTSI for more than a decade. It was a residual side effect of extended domestic violence and situations that followed. I some how managed to keep my daughter unharmed. She is second year undergraduate student here in UVic. I am very proud of her. I have so much to learn from her resilience. It was in 2015 I got excepted in UVic in Computer Science. 2018 I was diagnosed with PTSI, took couple years off. I worked couple of odd jobs and volunteer works. Couldn’t get any jobs of my prior experiences before violence. I thought perhaps I should come back and slowly practice my way towards somekind of normalcy that I was once used to. Some days I can do it. Other days it’s been a struggle to say the least.
