COUNCIL POSITIONS
Join the SSD Council
Serving on the SSD Council is an opportunity to help guide the activities, advocacy, and operations of the Society for Students with a Disability (SSD). As a volunteer council member, you can gain valuable non-profit governance and leadership experience while making a meaningful contribution to the disabled student community at the University of Victoria. To join Council, members are elected by SSD community members at a General Meeting. General Meetings are typically held twice each year, in October and February. If council positions become vacant between meetings, eligible members may be appointed as interim council members until the next election. Email uvicssd@uvic.ca if you’re interested in any positions or to learn more. To explore the various council positions available within the SSD, continue scrolling down this page. Each role offers unique opportunities to support and strengthen our community.
